Incense for meditation

Palosanto, the leading brand on the European market for Palo Santo incense, juniper, cedar, white sage harvested with respect for nature, the environment and working conditions for all people involved in the chain.

What is mala?

Mala necklaces can be made of wooden beads, seeds, semi-precious or precious stones or gems. The mala consists of 108 beads. The number 108 is a sacred number in many cultures, especially in the Hindu tradition. The number comes from multiplying the 12 "astrological houses" by the 9 planets. Each mala also has a Guru bead or tassel to remind us of the teachers in our lives.

Palosanto® is a registered brand, leading the European market for incense and Palo Santo products. All products are manufactured, selected and collected with respect for nature, the environment and working conditions for all people involved in the chain.

Sacred wood, Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is 100% natural, the wood is never chemically treated, neither during growth nor during processing. It is carefully hand-picked to offer customers the best quality, rich in essential oils and intense aroma. They also pack it by hand, in packaging made from recycled materials.

Today, the market offers a wide range of products aimed at improving well-being, in the wider context of the search for inner balance. The most famous in their assortment is the sacred wood, Palo Santo. In addition, we also find various incenses from different types of sage and other plants.

Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens)

Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) grows in the dry forest between Ecuador and Peru. It is a type of forest that thrives on dry, sandy soils. Palo Santo blooms in the first months of the year due to the abundant seasonal rains.

The use of sacred wood has become very popular, so reforestation is imperative. Immediately after the tree falls to the ground at the natural end of its life cycle, new plants are sown. Reforestation of the dry forest is important, also to allow future generations to benefit from ethical and sustainable Palo Santo.

Palo Santo:

  • helps conjure well-being and puts us in a good mood
  • gives serenity and psychophysical relaxation
  • promotes inner harmony and helps us regulate our mental and physical well-being
  • promotes concentration and introspection
  • helps overcome difficult emotional moments
  • absorbs and dissipates stagnant energy in the room (home, office...)
  • helps banish stress and anxiety

Their Palo Santo wood is sustainably sourced. They wait for the end of the tree's life cycle before proceeding with the Palo Santo processing.

You only need a few minutes a day to welcome the positive energies you need into your life. Surrender to the pure energy of nature.

Bursera graveolens is the plant from which Palo Santo incense is obtained. At the end of its normal life cycle, the Palo Santo tree falls off on its own and remains on the ground for several years. During this period, the wood becomes more connected to the resin and the sweet, intense and balsamic aroma characteristic of Palo Santo is determined. Our Palo Santo is 100% natural. To remove the microorganisms present in the trunk, the wood is heated to a high temperature. This process ensures the "purity" of the wood and there is no need to use pesticides.

Local communities directly monitor the production process on site. Their task is to select the most valuable parts of the wood, removing the roots, bark and other natural imperfections of the plant.

Thanks to Palo Santo, work and support are available to many local families. Also thanks to their contribution, our Palo Santo is one of the most appreciated and used in Europe.
