The story of Liforme yoga mats
The story of Liforme yoga mats is quite young. The "inventor" of the Liforme yoga mat, James, encountered yoga as a teenager in 1996. According to the doctors' recommendation, yoga is said to be beneficial for his injured "skater" back.
10 years later, when he was a lawyer, spending many hours at his desk and a little something in a yoga studio, he began to understand how yoga was beneficial for his painful back. In 2004, he devoted himself to yoga more intensively. His passion became Ashtanga yoga.
And that's how it all started, with regular yoga practice. The simple idea came completely spontaneously, when he visited the exercises of various teachers. Each teacher had a slightly different style of exercise and slightly different instructions on how and where to position the legs, arms, and even the body in a certain asana. So he came up with a question - why isn't there a yoga mat that has markings for hand, leg and body positions?
Thus began his 5-year "journey", the search for the best combination of materials and system for positions on the mat. The AlignForMe system was created. A system that easily and clearly shows the correct positions. Of course, he did not forget about the material, which is ecological, as well as the production and also great grip.
The development process was long and arduous. Countless obstacles, difficulties, and if he had known at the beginning that it was so challenging, he certainly wouldn't have taken it on.
